Hi All-
I'm looking for some advice on early season waders. I'm sort of tall (6'1") and on the skinny side (about 31 inch waist). I would go with the lightest neoprene wader available, but in order to get them to fit my feet (size 12), they end up being sized for someone with a bigger waist. My winter waders are this way, but it isn't such a big deal since I usually bundle up with wool clothing anyway.
I have some lightweight waders I use for summer fishing, and they fit well enough, but they're not made in a drab color and they wouldn't last 5 minutes in sharp stuff I hope to be ducking into.
Any thoughts? I could bite the bullet on some Filson waders, but I'm not sure they'd be any better. They look tough and are the right color, but I don't know about sizing and finding someone that stocks them is tough.
Thanks for any thoughts/advice. |

Try breathable's, once you do you'll never wear neoprene again. Even on the coldest days if you layer right you will be toasty warm, won't sweat walking out or setting up. Unless it's a total deep freeze, in Colorado breathables are the way to go.
Got my 1st pair last year, Cabela's breathables, won't ever wear neo's unless I'm hunting at the north pole. |

| x4 on the breathables. I often wear a pair of camo pullovers over my waders to and from the blind to help with wear and tear. This also helps when I wear my non-drab, non-camo fishing waders hunting. |
