I have the green light to come to the flat lands ( I live in Glenwood Springs) and hunt the weekend of January 11th & 12th. I am OK with getting a guided hunt one day for the geese but would like to hunt with my dog & buddy one of the days also. Does anyone have any reccomendations for public land or private access? I would be willing to pay a tresspass fee for access to decent grounds. I am a respectful & ethical hunter (as is my dog & cousin) and respect will given to the land & birds I pursue.
    Thanks for your help!

There are numerous swa out there. My general rule of thumb for ducks is further east you go the better. But any can be decent. Not sure how the northern reservation system works but I'd check that out for sure.

Good luck and enjoy the flatlands!

Been hearing good things about guys hunting the ice around the loveland area on public. Plan for an extra day or two of scouting then tear them up.

Man, embarrassing. To be honest, I'd had a little nog. cheers Or maybe more than a little. I keep wanting to invent a "pre-post/pre-online purchase breathalyzer" app. It woulda stopped me! Shocked

Sorry to sound like a doof, Gents!
