Looking for a place to go to get away form the In laws for a few days. Any ideas where to go for public land around Canon City?
    Thanks

Swensy - tell us a bit ore about yourself.

Where ya from, what's your background etc, you know, a little foreplay before ya go for the hole. rotfl

Not sure if you're a Colorado boy looking for some help or some stoner from Texas coming up here for weed and looking to score a hunt?

That said, Gauge who used to be on here a bit is from CC, not sure if you send him a PM if he will get it, but ya don't know if ya don't try.

Somebody on here has got to understand getting away from the in-laws regardless of your backstory. I'd invite you for one, but my little lease is hosed and done this year. Good luck! And... Don't forget...take a cab!

    Very good background.

You sound like the ideal guest, scotch and decoys!

Man, it is a loooooong way to the northwest corner, and I never really thought about it as a goose hunting destination.

Northeast corner is closer and has more birds.

    Just sayin'. cheers

I've never thought about hunting the NW corner either. Might be better views there!

I hunted the North West corner of Wash Park last year with a cross bow, I got 4 birds that were banded at city park and a green neck collar that was from a condo complex with a pond near by.
I though the N/W Corner rocked. rotfl rotfl
