I typically have a target deer that I hunt for the year, and if I don't get him I just eat the tag. This is the buck I was hunting. A true giant , I would guess him somewhere in the middle of 170's. I have had thousands of trail cam pics of him. While he was a local buck, I only saw him on his feet while hunting once. The second night in a tree but he was 80 yards away.

Thursday night this deer came in and I looked him over pretty good before I elected to shoot him. After a long deliberationback and fourth, I totally whiffed the shot and shot an inch over this deers back at 34 yards. He stood there for a good minute looking around as if nothing happened. I could not believe I missed and didn't even think about knocking another arrow.

Saturday morning he came by again with his little lady, but this time I took my time and didn't miss.
Hes super heavy, 20" wide, he was too big to let walk. After putting my hands on him, I am extremely happy with my decision.
