    That should save a small section of Timber but will also take a couple Duck ponds out of the gene pool.

    I think that beaver is probably 50-60 lbs. but it is hanging pretty close to the camera.

    My uncle in NE just trapped one that weighed 84 lbs. That big guy was a toad. In 60 yrs of trapping his previous largest was 65 lbs. Since there is no commercial value to trapping beaver these days, beaver removal is done only for family and friends. He is seeing much larger specimens lately because the only ones being removed is for damage control.

    This beaver was actually 90 pounds and taken in IL.
