Before I lost my big dog in January, I had a deposit down on a litter and had first pick male.

Here he is present day at 7 1/2 months working on hold and force fetch.

Glad you are back in the game after your tragic loss.

Good looking dude, who's he out of? Another PL for you?

He is out of 4X GMPR SH Frosty Breeze of Lockdown Labs and 4X GMPR SH Wyatt the Swindler of Hunters Point Kennels. I trained with both Wyatt and Breeze and have hunted a ton over Wyatt. Both dogs have what I want out of my dog and, so far, I am not disappointed! I did the started stuff myself (basic obedience, leash training, the walk and started marks and hold) He and three of his litter mates are with Julie Knutson getting the finer points. I go up a couple times a week and work him. His full name is Jack's Rocky Mountain Rye, call name Rye. When Jack finished his 4X run, I had a bottle of Jack Daniels Single Barrel Rye that we cracked open to celebrate. I decided then that my puppies name would be Rye. I had to get Jack's name in there and I wanted people to know where he was from, thus the Rocky Mountain.

Excellent. He's a lucky guy to have landed with you and I have no doubt that he will have a great career as both a hunter and a part time couch potato ahead of him.

    Hunt 'em up Rye!

Nice looking pup. I love how you came up with the name. Most of that rye whiskey goes down real smooth.

I have rejoined the dog owner group with a new puppy also. Hopefully next week I will get some pics of Pete and some NE birds posted.
